Wired in a cabin switch for my fan, replaced a few hoses, and replaced my thermostat with one that opens at a slightly lower temp. Overheating issues are gone! How’s your weekend, Oppo?

Have I mentioned that I LOVE how the anodized aluminum hood vents are turning bronze from the heat?

I’m fixing some stuff too, a pair of waverunners that refuse to hold battery charge for some reason. Got to ride for a bout a half hour before tho so this weekend hasn’t been too bad.

The weekend project of fixing the deer damage is going pretty well, just got the hood on, bent the bumper support back into shape, and fitted an unbent bumper bar. The way this is going I might even get to swapping the coilovers this weekend

You know that color change from heat would look even better with a turbo....

That sounds like treating the symptoms of overheating not the cause. How's the cap and radiator condition?

Both brand new, issue predates them. I think my fan wiring was just screwed up, so... Yeah I kinda took the easy way out. The lower temp tstat is just a recommended mod with the coolant reroute I've been meaning to do

Went out for drinks with (former) coworkers on Friday to celebrate my last day at my old job. Getting some papers together for the new job (which starts Tuesday). Spent some time at the beach today because summer . Probably going to wash and vacuum the Fit tomorrow if I can find the energy.

Are you talking about the individual fins? They’re close, but yeah especially under this type of lighting even a 1° difference shows clearly. Honestly at this point I’ll probably just leave it as is, I already weakened the attachment points e nough bending them into place.

Oh... Hold on. I think I get what you're asking. The reason the middle one is higher and the outer two are angled is... I followed a template made by some very smart racers who put in a lot of development/testing time to find the ideal placement. I saw no reason to stray from their methods
